2nd International Summer Law School organized by Elsa Greece on «Maritime Law: Insurance Law and Piracy Issues»

The 2nd very successful International Summer Law School organized by The European Law Students' Association - ELSA Greece, took place in Athens from 17-24 July 2016 on «Maritime Law: Insurance Law and Piracy Issues».

Participants were law students from all over the world and the academic programme contained a variety of courses outline and covered a wide spectrum of Maritime Law, Marine Insurance, Piracy and Law of the Sea.

In Piraeus they visited the historical Hellas Liberty, Piraeus Naval Museum, as well as the Hellenic Management Centre, where they attended a lecture given by Dr. Alexandros Ntovas, BA (Hons) LLB(Hons) LLM (Distinction) MSc (Hons) PhD (Southampton) FHEA (London) Advocate (Athens), Lecturer in Shipping Law and Deputy Director of Queen Mary University of London LLM in International Shipping Law, Piraeus, Greece. The lecture was on “Private armed guards on board ships, Policy issues, legal status and insurance implications”.
